JUNGLE IS MINI

my older brother is getting married next month and since i got the frock for my friends mel&jon's wedding in september i've been thinking about what the hell to wear to it. it might seem like i have it easy being leopard-lover - that i might have many many options, ideas, strategies. but that's not true. if my imagination is unlimited then my budget is not.

so i found the above-top DKNY jungle dress on my-wardrobe. it's dressy but not too formal, an appropriate length and that print is freaky-fresh and hot. BUT when i tried it on it just hung - with no zip/proper tailoring it felt like a post-beach summer holiday easy evening dress. [plus i saw a pic yesterday of jo whiley wearing it to the NME awards. hmm]

back to the internet then, where i saw the DVF mini pictured above. but when i went to try it on in store my, um, size wouldn't go over my head. then i saw a pap-pic of one of fergie's offsprings wearing it on the way out of some mayfair twittery. no no no. no.

i have 5 weeks left.

ah to be watching vh1 classics on a saturday night/sunday morning drinking cava dregs with friends and shouting at the telly. shania twain in the middle of a late 90s desert hitchin a ride COWBOY! little does she know that shes's been swallowed whole (hood-boobtube-flares-gothcoat) by a bloody big leopard. is it hot in there shania??

john-boyfriend narrowly avoided getting this hilarious little number for christmas. i won't be buying him it because:

1. £39 is too much to spend on a 'novelty gift' right now.
2. it would sadden me that he would never ever wear it even if i did hand over the cash.

MARAWA the AMAZING: leotard in a leopard

i went to see the la clique with my grrrlz this week and that hula-hooping, rollerskating blur of aussie hotness MARAWA was definitely the highlight of the show for me. in her all-in-one leopard leotard in the circus ring she turned into a spiral rainbow of springy hoops... MARAWAllous...

to make up for the shortage of posts in the past few weeks, here's one that i've wanted to for a while and from which you can infer that i've been on holiday or something glamourous like that to explain my absence.

YES it's a TOPSHOP leopard passport holder from c.2007. i know that i definitely had it in the oh-8 because i used to keep jolly cartoon-foto-machine pictures from TOKYO in the helpful pocket inside. and i went to TKY last year.
